Remarks |
The T-hunt had 3 transmitters. T1 was 25 watts into a 3 element vertical beam. T2 and T3 were 100 milliwatt micro T’s. T1 was hidden at the South end of Murphy Canyon Rd past the end of the city street on a drivable paved blacktop road which turned into a concrete road/ bike path. T2 and T3 were hidden in the brush along side of the road with a dummy T near each one. Joe and Tony were the first to arrive at 6:51 pm. and while nearing the end of the road they almost wiped out their beam because of a freeway bridge that went over the road that was very low. They saw it in time and stopped before the bridge ate their antenna. They found T2 and T3 by 7:00 pm. And won the hunt. Shortly after that all the other teams arrived and found all the transmitters. We took a short drive down the street to the Sizzler Restaurant for dinner after the hunt. |
