Remarks |
The main transmitter was In my car parked in a small lot on the west side of Convoy just south of Armour. It was set for 25 watts and used a 3 element yagi pointed to the start. The second transmitter was a 50 mW SquawkBox in my pocket waiting for a table at the Ichero Restaurant. Unfortunately, there was a loose connection or something. Although I could hear it with my HT, nobody else could. Bill will be hiding next time. He was the first to find the main (~6:35). Tony was the first to find me only because he actually went looking in each of the restaurants (~6:45). Most of the rest showed up within a few minutes. Parking was the main delay. Once the SquawkBox started working properly, Joe and Greg were able to hear it from in the car. They arrived a little after 7:00. I hope everyone enjoyed the Ichero. Rather than the usual Mexican, Pizza, or BBQ, it was something different. We will do it again. |
